1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites function, to improve performance, and to provide information to site owners. Some cookies are essential for a website to work at all; others are optional and serve analytical or performance purposes.

Browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) is a related technology that allows websites to store data locally in your browser. Like cookies, we use browser storage for functional, security, and consent-recording purposes.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Always Active)

These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled.

4. Analytics Cookies (With Your Consent)

These cookies are only placed if you click "Accept analytics" in our cookie banner. They help us understand how people use CentreEvents so we can improve it. They are not used for advertising and do not track you across other websites.

4.1 Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is used to measure how the platform and our public pages are used, including which features are visited most, session duration, and general usage patterns. We have enabled IP anonymisation. Under Google Consent Mode v2, GA4 does not set any tracking cookies until you give consent; if you choose "Essential only", GA4 operates in cookieless mode (aggregate modelling only, no individual identification).

Cookie Provider Purpose Duration
_ga Google (United States) Distinguishes unique visitors. Used to calculate session, visit, and script data for the site analytics report. 2 years
_ga_MNC80QTY3Q Google (United States) Used by GA4 to persist session state 2 years
